NFL: Creating the all-time roster with football’s legends

The NFL has seen a plethora of great players over the years. While it’s easy to sit down and point to a particular quarterback or running back and claim that he’s the best of his generation, how many can boldly state that they are the best of all time?

In a team-orientated game, we’ve seen some of the most memorable squads step onto an NFL turf but if given the opportunity to pick from a pool of every player ever, who would make a team compiled of the best of the best? To answer that question, we jumped headfirst into the record books and assessed everyone’s accolades and skillset.

Now, after careful examination, we feel confident that we have put together the greatest team the NFL world has ever laid eyes on. There will undoubtedly be a few no-brainers on this list, but we also placed a bit of a priority on how the pieces would mesh together. It isn’t simply about choosing the best of the best from each position, although that was important, how every player would work under the same umbrella was taken into account as well.

The NFL may have been around for well over a century, but we made sure that we didn’t forget those who came before the invention of color TVs. Now that we’ve gotten all of the parameters out of the way, let’s take a look at the unquestioned greatest roster that can ever be created in NFL history.
