Just because this list is currently filled with names that played not that long ago, doesn’t mean we’re going to forget about the all-timers who came before them. After all, they paved the way for everyone who came later.
Center Jim Otto was a stud during the 1960s and 70s for the Oakland Raiders. While most players suffer growing pains and take a number of years before coming into their own, Otto was a dominant force from the moment he stepped on the turf. In his first year in the league, Otto was named an All-Pro. He was quickly named to six consecutive and ten overall for his career. In addition to that, Otto was also a 12 time Pro Bowler.
Otto was a consistent figure in the lineup and propelled those Raiders to teams to constant success. It came as no surprise to see him enshrined into the football Hall of Fame in 1980 and it should come equally as no surprise that he makes this team.
