NFL: Creating the all-time roster with football’s legends: WR, Randy Moss

It’s already been established that Jerry Rice is the greatest wide receiver of all time. His sheer dominance and longevity are both unquestioned and unmatched. With that said, if there was anyone who could match Rice prime for prime, it would be Randy Moss. There were times where Moss was viewed as a bit lazy. He was certainly an enigma. Admittedly, Moss wasn’t always interested in the game or running routes at his absolute hardest but, when he was on, there was no one like him.

Long before the NFL introduced gloves that made catching a football the easiest thing in the world, Moss was making one-handed catches bare-handed. When fully motivated, NFL defenders would simply throw their hands in the air to signal that there was nothing that could be done. Despite his slender frame, Moss was incredibly durable and with his 4.25, 40 speed, he would routinely blow by the opposition.

Even with a few lackadaisical years, Moss continually finds himself in the discussion as the best wide receiver ever. Every record held by Jerry Rice would likely be broken if Moss was always invested in the game. Regardless of that, Moss makes our all-time roster comfortably. And truth be told, he might be the number one option on the team.
