One player Dallas has already looked into is Jeff Driskel the former backup for the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals. Earlier this month, the Cowboys brought in Driskel and he was happy with the visit.

There remains a chance he could sign with the team but he did leave Frisco without a deal. Driskel has had several starts in the NFL but hasn’t had a ton of success. He went 1-4 with the Bengals in 2018, 0-3 with the Lions in 2019, and 0-1 last season with Denver.

In all, that gives him a 1-8 record but putting all that on him would be unfair. None of those clubs he played for had a great roster around him. However, he still has a few warts including a completion percentage of just 58.6 percent for his career.

Overall, he has 2,120 yards with 13 touchdowns and eight picks. But what Driskel does offer that could help him should he be thrust into action is some impressive mobility.

No one is going to confuse him with Lamar Jackson, but Driskel ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns for Cincinnatti and 151 with another touchdown in Detroit. For his career, he has 309 yards while picking up 5.8 per rush.

Considering the issues Dallas had on the line in 2020, that could have come in very handy for them.
