Green Bay Packers: Kevin King, Cornerback

Last year, the Green Bay Packers season ended at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in that loss, Kevin King had one of his worst games. It was so bad that it ended up being a bit of a surprise when Green Bay brought him back in free agency.

However, there’s a chance he might not make the team still especially after their most recent draft. While it was widely reported that Aaron Rodgers was furious with the front office and wanted them to show they were committed to helping him win another Super Bowl, the Packers again decided to go in a different direction than to add offensive help.

At pick No. 29, Green Bay selected Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes who should be able to win a starting job across from Jaire Alexander — who is one of the best in the NFL. There’s also Chandon Sullivan and Josh Jackson available meaning the Packers might not be too keen on paying King the $6 million he agreed to this offseason.

Moving on from King still wouldn’t be the top storyline for them since they still have a lot of reparations to make with Aaron Rodgers. Should they end up having to either trade Rodgers, or if they test him and he holds out, things in Green Bay will be very interesting.
