3. Kansas City Chiefs

This would be absolute absurdity, at least to some degree. We already know that the Kansas City Chiefs have an abundance of weaponry around Patrick Mahomes on offense, most notably with stud tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Moreover, the franchise entirely revamped the offensive line this offseason after the unmitigated disaster that was trying to protect their franchise quarterback in last year’s Super Bowl. Yet, there is still some logic to how Julio Jones could fit into the equation.

Kansas City saw veteran Sammy Watkins depart in free agency this offseason, which does leave somewhat of a hole in the offense. That being said, the Chiefs have not been afraid to keep strengthening an already-strong unit on the roster. Heck, that’s why they used a first-round pick on Clyde Edwards-Helaire last offseason. So why not go after someone like Jones to fill the void left by Watkins leaving and, frankly, upgrade at that spot?

As of right now, the Chiefs have roughly $7.8 million in cap space but restructuring the deals of Frank Clark and Tyreek Hill would open up over $18 million on the books for Kansas City. And as the franchise tries to make their third-straight Super Bowl appearance, there aren’t many arguments against the notion that Julio Jones would make the offense even more dangerous, even if a trade is highly unlikely.
