4. Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts reunites with Devonta Smith

Howie Roseman opted to give the second-year quarterback, Jalen Hurts a weapon at wide receiver. Not just any receiver either — the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner who Hurts tossed passes to during his Alabama days.

Smith is coming into a situation where he can have an immediate impact. The Eagles are thin at wide receiver. Jalen Reagor is the lone star due to promise. JJ Arcega-Whiteside’s time is running out since his downfield jump ball skills haven’t translatedto the NFL. The rest of the room includes guys like Travis Fulgham, Quez Watkins and John Hightower, to name a few.

The former Bama wideout is an elite route-runner who received praise from his new All-Pro teammate Darius Slay. He’ll win one-on-one matchups thanks to his intellect, suddenness and hand quickness off the line. He can run every route and transition with precision. His reliable hands and versatility to play in the slot or outside make him dynamic.

Hurts can make plays with his legs and moves around in the pocket. And Smith will be in the right spot at the right time which will help Hurts tremendously. This duo could have an earl but impact but questions with a rookie coach, offensive line and underdeveloped wideouts are causes for concern.
