10. DeMeco Ryans will be a head coach

There is a slew of candidates I could’ve chosen for this, but I’m choosing to plant my flag on DeMeco Ryans.

Ryans is a former NFL linebacker who was recently promoted as the 49ers defensive coordinator. He joined the team as an assistant in 2017 and has played a large part in developing players like Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw. At just 36 years old, Ryans is viewed as a hot up-and-coming head-coaching candidate.

If I had to guess (which means I’ll definitely be wrong), Ryans will become the Jaguars head coach when Urban Meyer eventually leaves. Please don’t get mad at me, Jacksonville fans. It’s all fun and games here.

11. Dan Mullen will NOT be an NFL head coach

Do you know who won’t be an NFL head coach? Dan Mullen. The current Florida Gators head coach was connected to the league back in February. As rumors ran rampant about Mullen bolting to the NFL, he chose to address them in February. Although, it was more of a soft dismissal of the rumors, leaving some people speculating about his eventual departure from UF. I’m here to put that speculation to rest.

This may be a bit bolder than some other predictions of mine because of how hot the rumor mill was earlier in the year. Mullen knows he has a chance to build something special at Florida, especially with Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson on deck for the supposed quarterback whisperer.

It helps that Mullen was just given a three-year extension through 2026, making him the third highest-paid coach in the SEC. Considering he has no NFL experience, I doubt Mullen will leave the collegiate ranks.
