31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Perrion Winfrey, DT, Oklahoma

The second interior defensive lineman comes off the board as the first round comes to a close. A year after no defensive tackles went round one, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take Oklahoma’s Perrion Winfrey to add more youth to their defensive front. After taking Joe Tryon in the first round this past year, Winfrey gives them a much-needed piece as their roster ages.

From Wil Gholston to Ndamukong Suh, the Buccaneers are in a transition phase along their defensive line. The 6-foot-3 and 297 pound defensive tackle is coming off of a 2020 campaign where he racked up five and a half tackles for loss, a half of a sack, and three passes defended for the Sooners. Now with a full season in 2021, can Winfrey take a leap forward?

32. Kansas City Chiefs: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

And last but not least, the Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock.

With this pick, the Chiefs take a bit of a flyer on a highly talented player who is set to return from a broken ankle injury. As they potentially look to move on from Frank Clark if he continues to disappoint based on his contract, the Chiefs select Michigan pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

One a terror with his running mate Kwity Paye a year ago, Hutchinson was only able to appear in two games a year ago. His first step is great, and he has the ideal size to wreak havoc off the edge. It will be an interesting storyline to see Hutchinson return from his injury in 2021.
