7. New York Giants: DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M

Name a better duo than Dave Gettleman and interior defensive linemen? Well, if the Giants are picking in the top-10 again in 2022, then Gettleman may not be the general manager of the Big Blue by the time the 2022 NFL Draft rolls around. While the Giants cannot get out of the massive contract of Leonard Williams, they opt to add a swiss army knife to their defensive front.

Texas A&M’s DeMarvin Leal has the big-time potential to wreak havoc on opposing backfields and to do so from both inside and out along a defensive front. With Dexter Lawrence and Williams manning the interior, adding Leal gives the Giants the opportunity to line up in a variety of looks upfront, and to really get after opposing quarterbacks on passing downs.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

After missing out on the first wave of quarterbacks, the Falcons opt to take the first offensive non-QB in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. With the impending doom of losing Julio Jones, the Atlanta Falcons will look to replace him in the 2022 NFL Draft to give Calvin Ridley another dominant running mate. The first wide receiver off the board here is Arkansas’ Treylon Burks as he helps Falcons fans cope with the loss of a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The 6-3 and 232-pound Razorback wide receiver is coming off a season with 820 yards and seven touchdowns in just nine games a year ago. Averaging 16 yards per catch, Burks looks to be the next physically imposing pass-catcher to enter the NFL from the college ranks.
