2022 NFL Mock Draft: Spencer Rattler goes 1, Broncos land new QB

15. Arizona Cardinals: Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, CB, TCU
Forget about his size for a second. TCU’s Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson has absolutely dominant tape and is one of the most physical cornerbacks at the catchpoint in the entire nation. Sure, he is listed at 5-foot-9, but as the wide receiver position becomes less oriented around size and more oriented around route running and separation, the cornerback position will follow suit.
Make no mistake, Hodges-Tomlinson is sticky in man coverage, aggressive up the line of scrimmage, and oily in the hips to stick with twitchy receivers in and out of breaks. This makes him one of the very best cornerbacks in the nation and the fourth one off the board here as he lands with the Arizona Cardinals.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sean Rhyan, OT, UCLA
The Pittsburgh Steelers opted not to upgrade their aging offensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft, despite losing both their starting left tackle and center. They do not make that mistake here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, landing one of the most athletic big men in this year’s draft class. UCLA’s Sean Rhyan has big time potential, and the makings of a first round pick as he looks to cap off his career with the Bruins on a high note in 2021.
A dominant shot put thrower for the Track and Field team as well, Rhyan possesses elite upper body and core strength for the offensive tackle position. He is extremely mobile as well, as he looks to become a staple up front for the lucky franchise that selects him. Here, that franchise happens to be the Steelers.
