2021 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings: How far ahead is Patrick Mahomes?

14. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
The No. 1 overall pick in 2019, Kyler Murray entered the NFL with some questions — mostly about his stature. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 207 pounds, Murray doesn’t look to even be that big which meant he had plenty of doubters leading up to the draft.
There were also concerns that he was going to choose baseball over football since he was a two-sport star who had an offer on the table to join the major leagues. But he said he was committed to football and his size didn’t stop the Arizona Cardinals from drafting the Heisman Trophy winner. Neither did the presence of Josh Rosen, who they took the prior year in Round 1.
Two years later, it’s evident the Cardinals made the right move. Rosen is on his third team since being traded to Miami during the draft and Murray has been making huge strides as a player. In two seasons, he had 7,693 yards passing with 46 touchdowns and 24 picks. He’s also completing 65.8 percent of his passes and had a huge jump in that area from year one to two.
As if that wasn’t enough, Murray is just as dangerous with his legs. He ran for 544 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie then eclipsed those numbers this past season with 819 yards and 11 touchdowns. Arizona is a team to watch in 2021 and Murray is the biggest reason for that.
