6. Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans

There’s a lot going on with Deshaun Watson this offseason. He reportedly finally grew tired of the Houston Texans front office and wanted out. There’s no reason to blame him for wanting to play elsewhere because this team is a dumpster fire. The problem is, he knew they were a mess when he signed his four-year extension which made it harder to move on from him.

Of course, the trade talk died out quickly when Watson was starting to be named in one civil suit after another where he was accused of inappropriate behavior with several massage therapists. With that still lingering over his head, there’s some doubt as to whether or not he will be on the field in 2021 or if the league will use their ‘Commissioner’s Exempt List’ which seems as though it should be illegal but somehow is not.

As it stands now, Watson is allowed to play and he’s still on the Houston roster. If that’s the case in Week 1, he should be the starter because Tyrod Taylor isn’t the answer. Watson, however, is.

The Clemson product is a franchise-leading passer who can destroy teams with both his arm and his legs. Just this past season, Watson had to show just how talented he was by throwing to a make-shift receiving corps but still managing to throw for 4,823 yards with 33 touchdowns. He’s an absolute beast and still stands out as one of the best in the NFL.
