2021 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings: How far ahead is Patrick Mahomes?
By Randy Gurzi
3. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
This offseason has been a drama-filled one for the Green Bay Packers since it seems as though Aaron Rodgers has finally had enough of the team’s front office. Reports surfaced during the draft that Rodgers wanted out and he has yet to show up to voluntary OTAs — instead, he was hanging out in Hawaii watching Miles Teller get beat up for owing a bunch of money to a wedding planner.
There are also those who believe the whole back-and-forth is a way for Rodgers to again try and get another deal from the Packers but all of that is speculation. What we do know is, they used a first-round pick in 2020 to get his successor and Rodgers sees the writing on the wall.
Rodgers didn’t let that deter him from having his best season in several years. He won the NFL MVP after throwing for 4,299 yards with an insane 48-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also completed 70.7 percent of his throws which was insane given the fact that he hasn’t been given elite talent outside of Davante Adams. —which is part of his gripe.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see him and the Pakcers work things out and the team should be really trying to make him happy since he’s still one of the absolute best in the league.
