24. Jameis Winston/Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

Yeah, this one is hard to figure out. The New Orleans Saints gave a comically inflated contract to Taysom Hill which can be completely voided after one season. Why a player would sign a deal that means nothing makes no sense, but the Saints already showed they don’t know without any shadow of a doubt that he can be the starter now that Drew Brees is gone.

Not long after the clown-show contract, New Orleans brought back Jameis Winston, the former No. 1 overall pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Winston threw just 11 passes for the Saints last season but he has 19,812 yards with 121 career touchdowns.

Hill, on the other hand, has his rushing stats listed before passing on Pro Football Reference and has just 1,047 career yards with four touchdowns and three picks. He’s also nearly four years older than Winston as Hill will be 31 in August and Winston just turned 27.

There’s really nowhere other than New Orleans where this would even be a competition as Winston is the clear-cut best option but head coach Sean Payton continues to tout Hill as a franchise quarterback. Whichever way they go, it will be a step back from Brees but if we knew for sure Winston was the starter, they may have crept up this list just a little.
