NFL teams that should turn back the clock with their uniforms

Denver Broncos

It’s time the Broncos incorporated a blast from the past. Denver has been rocking their current look since 1997 and it shows. The stripes that so prominently slither up the jersey and to the armpits (of all places) are a complete eyesore. The font on the back of the jerseys is just childish; it looks like a kindergartener failed to connect the dots of a drawing.

Listen, there’s a reason why everyone loves the Elway-era throwbacks. It just seems right for Denver to redesign their uniforms with their old look in mind. Perhaps they’d consider switching back to their old shade of blue, though their current color palette seems fine.

New York Giants

I’m tempted to just write, “The Giants uniforms are boring.” I wouldn’t be wrong, but I’d also be going against a pretty iconic uniform set. Luckily, there’s a way to continue to pay homage to a historic past while incorporating a newer, more modern look. You know those Color Rush/throwbacks the Giants have donned since 2016? Yeah, those are fantastic.

They check off all the aforementioned boxes while getting rid of those annoying gray pants and facemasks. I still can’t believe someone in 2000 said, “Hey, let’s throw some gray in there like it’s 1966!” Bringing back their look from the Lawrence Taylor era would be a great way for New York to modernize their uniforms while still upholding their franchise’s legacy.
