NFL History: 30 players fans loved to loathe: 30. JuJu Smith-Schuster

At one point, JuJu Smith-Schuster was the quiet, unassuming player that fans didn’t have a particular problem with. During the early portion of his career, Smith Schuster was the perfect fit next to all-world wide receiver Antonio Brown.

After torching teams for 1,426 yards in 2018, Smith-Schuster was left on an island all by himself as Brown was no longer on the squad. Yet, whether he was lighting opposing teams on fire or struggling to record a first down, fans truly didn’t have a problem with him. It wasn’t until he took his pregame ritual too far where the hate started to permeate.

Before every game took place, Smith Schuster would fire up his Tik Tok account and begin dancing. It wasn’t much of a big deal at first, but once he started dancing on the logo of away teams in the middle of their stadium, the hate came in an instant. To make matters worse, his own fanbase, the Pittsburgh Steelers, began getting annoyed with his act. Every game he would walk to the middle of the field, record himself dancing, upload it on Tik Tok and then proceed to have poor game after poor game.

It isn’t too late for Smith-Schuster to get off this list but as long as he keeps dancing on logos, he’ll remain here for a long time.
