Indianapolis Colts: Peyton Manning, Quarterback

Philip Rivers spent just one season as the starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts but the bolo tie-wearing gun-slinger seemed like a perfect fit. He even led them to the playoffs but decided after the season it was time to go home and spend time with his family.

With him out, the Colts brought in Carson Wentz which could also pay off for them. Wentz played at an MVP level in 2017 when Frank Reich was his offensive coordinator and now the two are back together with Reich serving as the head coach.

There’s legitimate hope for Wentz to return to form this season but we can’t guarantee he will. If we could, then maybe bringing back Marvin Harrison would be the right move since they would have a quarterback playing as well as anyone else working with one of the best wideouts to ever play the game.

But since we aren’t sure Wentz will look like the player we once saw on the field, then we have to go with a different player, Peyton Manning. Easily the most recognizable player Indianapolis has ever had (heck, he might be the most recognizable the NFL has ever had thanks to his ability to make people laugh in every commercial he stars in), Manning would be a great addition to this Colts team.

Manning was one of the players who ushered in this new pass-happy era of football and if he were in Indy now, he would make all the receivers around him better. And given the fact that they have a strong defense, he would easily lead them to the AFC South title and possibly much more.
