Los Angeles Rams: Marshall Faulk, Running Back

There’s no denying that the Los Angeles Rams are all-in on the 2021 NFL season. They traded away Jared Goff and two first-round picks for Matthew Stafford who just turned 33 this offseason. He might not have a lot left in the tank but when he’s at his best, Stafford can move the ball as well as anyone.

He’s also got a great play-caller on the sidelines now with Sean McVay which means it’s the best situation he’s been in during his entire career. But the hopes aren’t all on Stafford.

Los Angeles has a stacked roster with Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods on offense and then Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, and Leonard Floyd on defense. What they don’t have, is an elite running back which is why the call here is easy as Marshall Faulk is the legend that returns to the Rams.

Faulk started his career with the Indianapolis Colts before joining the St. Louis Rams in 1999. He was one of the stars of the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ and helped them win Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans.

During his career, Faulk won the NFL MVP in the year 2000 after going for 1,359 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground and another 830 yards and eight touchdowns receiving. This came after he had more than 1,000-yards as both a runner and receiver in 1999.

In addition to his MVP award, Faulk was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year three times and had seven trips to the Pro Bowl. He was impossible to stop when he was on a roll and would make this Rams team a favorite in 2021.
