New England Patriots: Tom Brady, Quarterback

This one might feel like it’s too soon but there’s really no player the New England Patriots could choose to add to their roster than Tom Brady. Before Brady arrived, the Patriots were a team no one gave too much thought about. They had plenty of success at times but they had yet to win it all.

Then Brady took over for an injured Drew Bledsoe and they started to do nothing but win. In fact, they even won their very first title during Brady’s second year in the league — which was his first as a starter.

At that time, he was a bit of a game manager. He had just 2,843 yards with an 18-to-12 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 14 starts. In the postseason, he had just 572 yards and one touchdown in three games.

It wasn’t long after that when Brady became the face of the team and they started winning because of him. He led the Pats to six Super Bowls which ties them for the most in NFL history. Then, he left after 17 seasons and went and won a title with Tampa Bay.

As for New England, they went out and spent a ton of money on new weapons in the passing game. There’s no guarantee that will help them rebound from their first losing season since 2000, but adding Brady back would.
