6 NFL throwback helmets we can’t wait to see

3. Dallas Cowboys
America’s Team has an iconic look — and it’s one that gets a lot of praise. It seems as though whenever uniforms get ranked, the Dallas Cowboys are near the top, and for good reason.
Back in April, Mark Lane of USA Today had the Cowboys uniform ranked eighth overall but dinged them for the odd seafoam pants which made sense in the 1970s but not now.
"“Tex Schramm designed the current uniforms all the way back in 1964, and the only thing that has changed is serifs and fonts, at least for the classic white look. The shade of blue has shifted from blue to navy starting in 1982. However, it has been the same timeless look that exemplifies America’s Team. The only thing keeping it out of the top-5 is the sea foam pants, which was also a Schramm invention to make the pants look silver on a 1960s color television. In the year 2021 with HDTV, it looks bizarre.” — Lane, USA Today"
If they did fix those pants, the uniform would be much better. But team owner Jerry Jones is too stubborn for that. What he’s not too stubborn for is a throwback to the white helmets that we haven’t seen in nearly a decade.
Like the current style, these are beyond simple but they just work. Imagine Dak Prescott throwing to CeeDee Lamb in the white helmet with the white pants and shoulder pads. Goosebumps.
