1. Dak Prescott will throw for 5,000 yards

A broken ankle suffered in Week 5 robbed us all of Dak Prescott playing some of the best football of his life. Entering the season on the franchise tag and on the heels of a 4,902-yard season, Prescott put up 1,856 yards and nine touchdowns in five games.

He also had 93 yards rushing and three touchdowns in that span — which was the same number of rushing touchdowns he had all season in 2019. There’s no way he was going to stay on the same pace he was playing at but if he did, Dak would have had 5,939 yards with 29 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing.

For weeks, stats kept popping up showing how Prescott was in the top ranking for passing yardage despite being on the IR. Eventually, he was surpassed by the rest of the starters but his performance was impressive nonetheless.

That was one of the many reasons Dallas finally wised up and paid Prescott who enters 2021 fully healthy and ready to prove his team right for giving him some financial security. He also still has a ton of weapons around him in Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Ezekiel Elliott, Blake Jarwin, and Dalton Schultz.

There’s also the return of both Tyron Smith and La’el Collins to the offensive line, meaning he should be even better protected in the pocket.

Add all that up and it looks as though 2021 should be a huge season for Prescott which is why this final bold prediction is that he will cross the 5,000-yard plateau this coming season.

Of course, there will still be plenty of people who doubt him for some reason, but it will become harder and harder to tout the narrative that Dak can’t get it done after such a campaign.
