Dallas Cowboys get Hard Knocks bid for 2021 training camp
The Dallas Cowboys will be in the limelight even more often than normal in 2021 as they’ve been chosen to be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
For the third time in their history, the Dallas Cowboys will be the central focus of HBO’s Hard Knocks that details life during training camp and preseason. Once again, Dallas gets back in the spotlight, and they do have a group of quality players on both sides of the ball worthy of being featured.
Quarterback Dak Prescott makes his long-awaited return to the field after suffering an ankle injury that ended his season prematurely. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb enters his sophomore season with high expectations. Moreover, running back, Ezekiel Elliott looks to reverse course and regain his running back stardom.
Defensively, rookie linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence are tasked with revitalizing a defense that has been sorely lacking. Additionally, we get a glimpse of how new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will interact with his players.

However, the show’s real star is likely going to be owner Jerry Jones, a man who is not one to shy away from the spotlight but rather embraces it with open arms. He has already been on the show before, so why not do it again? An argument could be made towards Quinn being given the spotlight, but it’s meant for Jones realistically.
Hard Knocks is known to produce memorable moments and we can expect plenty from the Dallas Cowboys.
It would be wise to note that whoever appears on Hard Knocks doesn’t end up winning the Super Bowl, so maybe Dallas should be aware of that? Nonetheless, the show tends to produce hilarious and often memorable moments that are still talked about.
Regardless, the Cowboys will be in focus all season with the return of Prescott and their established nature in the NFL culture on a national scale. As is always the case with Hard Knocks, we’ll see a mixture of head-scratching moments and times where optimism is running high.
America’s Team on a reality show? That’s must-see TV, and maybe, just maybe, it could be something special. But after the cameras go off, Dallas gets a primetime opener against the defending champion Buccaneers. We can hardly wait.
