30 best NFL players to win a Super Bowl with 2 or more teams: 21. Matt Millen

Stats:

  • 11 sacks
  • 9 INTs

Matt Millen may have been an All-American Linebacker while at Penn State University but his career didn’t reach those lofty heights in the pros. At least not from an individual standpoint.

What Millen ultimately was in the league was a solid all-around linebacker who could put decent pressure on the quarterback and make timely tackles. He was only selected to one Pro Bowl and his overall numbers aren’t exactly inspiring, racking up only nine interceptions and 11 sacks during his career. But, what Millen was truly known for and good at was winning. No matter the franchise, Millen made sure that at some point during his tenure, they were able to call themselves Super Bowl Champs.

In his first year in the league, Millen started every game on that 1980 Oakland Raiders championship squad. He eventually moved on to the San Francisco 49ers and with the help of a few unknown guys in Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, Millen won another title. His last championship in the NFL, which occurred in the early 1990s, wasn’t his proudest moment as he was deactivated by the Washington Football Team during the playoffs but still, his championship doesn’t say that he didn’t play, so he can wear it with pride.
