30 best NFL players to win a Super Bowl with 2 or more teams: 30. Billy Davis

Stats:

  • 907 receiving yards
  • 3 TDs

There was something mouthwatering about Billy Davis. It wasn’t just that he was chiseled at 6-1 and weighing over 200 pounds, he was also really good and showed an ability to get better.

While at the University of Pittsburgh, Davis didn’t display much promise in his first year. He only caught 11 balls for 100 yards. The following year was only slightly better, making 34 catches for 503 yards. And his junior was nothing to write home about, posting 24 catches for 346 yards.

While no NFL teams even knew who Davis was, he put them all on notice after his senior year. Davis grabbed 120 balls for 1,680 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. That one year was good enough for the Dallas Cowboys to grab him as an undrafted player in 1995. He didn’t play much on that 1995 title-winning Cowboys team and the same goes for the 2000 Baltimore Ravens club that he was on.

By the time he was 28, Davis was already out of the league. And while he didn’t carve out much of a role on any team he was on, his two Super Bowl rings ensured that he didn’t leave the NFL empty-handed.
