30 best NFL players to win a Super Bowl with 2 or more teams: 4. Rob Gronkowski

Stats:

  • 8,484 receiving yards
  • 566 receptions
  • 86 TDs

Before Rob Gronkowski jumped onto that well-oiled machine called the New England Patriots, they were attempting to find their place back in the championship mix. For years on end, the Patriots were contenders but hadn’t seen a championship parade since the early 2000s. Once Gronkowski was drafted in 2010, he helped take them to another level.

While the Patriots would lose in the Super Bowl in his second year, he would ultimately win two titles with them before briefly retiring in 2019. Once good friend Tom Brady picked up the phone and gave Gronkowski a call, it was a no-brainer decision for him to end his premature retirement and help Brady win another one, this time in Tampa Bay.

For the most part, Gronkowski is considered the greatest tight end the NFL has ever seen. There are no glaring holes in his game as he excels at just about everything. He isn’t the fastest player in the world but when he turns on the jets, Gronkowski is incredibly difficult to catch. When it comes to playing physical, no one does it better as he has routinely roughed up defenders. Even when it comes to run blocking, the three-time Super Bowl Champ doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.

There has never been a more complete tight end, and it’ll be a long until we see one that comes close to his level of production.
