30 best NFL players to win a Super Bowl with 2 or more teams: 27. Derek Loville

Stats:

  • 1,620 rushing yards
  • 16 TDs

Derek Loville wasn’t highly touted on any level. He may have played at the University of Oregon but he went undrafted at the next level. He didn’t play a single second on the 1994 Super Bowl winning San Francisco 49ers. In 1997 and 1998, he was seldom used in those back to back title runs on the Denver Broncos.

Only once was Loville given the full-time starting position and unfortunately for him, he didn’t make the most of it. Loville rushed for 723 yards, which surprisingly enough, ranked number one on his 1995 49er club. Once Loville failed to produce when given the opportunity he went on to start only six more games in the next four years and racked up less than 200 total yards in the process.

In short, Loville was very much a mediocre back. Still, he managed to leave the NFL with numerous world titles.
