NEW ORLEANS, LA – OCTOBER 29: Alvin Kamara /

Which teams in the NFL have the best trios at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver as we enter the 2021 regular season?

The NFL is still an offensive-driven league — and likely will always be. The teams who have the best weapons on that side of the ball are often the ones standing late in the year.

While those talented offenses don’t all have to have their own version of the “triplets,” it helps to be stacked at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver.

Here we look at the top trios in the league, starting with a new gun-slinger in the Big Easy.

12. Saints: Jameis Winson, Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas

Whether or not the New Orleans Saints roll with Jameis Winston or Tasyom Hill as the replacement for Drew Brees, they should still be able to put up points this season and remain competitive.

Smart money should be on Winston to win the job since he’s just a year removed from leading the NFL with 5,109 yards passing. Of course, he also had 30 picks that season which is why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved on from him.

After spending 2020 on the bench behind Brees, the former No. 1 overall pick has a great opportunity in front of him. And he would have a lot of help as well with Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas.

Kamara has never crossed the 1,000-yard mark as a runner but he has also had more than 700-yards receiving in three of his four seasons. He now has 6,164 yards from scrimmage and 58 touchdowns in his career.

As for Thomas, he has 5,950 yards and 32 touchdowns in five seasons but is coming off an injury-plagued campaign where he had no touchdowns in seven games.

This is a talented group, that also has a lot to prove.
