The Dallas Cowboys are roughly a week away from starting training camp. Here are three bold predictions for what will transpire in Oxnard.

Trying to put a rough season behind them, the Dallas Cowboys will head to Oxnard at the end of July to start their 2021 training camp. It will be a shift back to normalcy after not being able to travel last year due to the pandemic, which kept the Cowboys in their home state.

Of course, there is a faction of fans who believed staying in their home state is better than traveling to California, but that won’t stop Jerry Jones from putting his team on display. And we will all get to see everything unfold up close and personal on the HOB series, ‘Hard Knocks’.

But what can we expect to unfold for the Cowboys at camp? Here, we get a little bold when answering that question as we have three bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys 2021 training camp.

3. Nahshon Wright works with the ones

Several things drew the ire of Dallas fans during the 2021 NFL Draft. For instance, when the Cowboys traded down from No. 10 to No. 12, there was an audible groan heard throughout the fan base. The frustration wasn’t with the team trading down, but more the fact that they traded with an in-division rival, allowing the Philadelphia Eagles to move up and snatch DeVonta Smith.

But eventually, they made a pick that forced fans to forget about that move. At No. 99 overall, they took Nahshon Wright from Oregon State and fans lost their minds. Not only did they continue to ignore safety — their biggest remaining need — but they also took a guy who many had as a late-round pick.

To be fair to Wright, he’s incredibly long at 6-foot-4 and has talent but this was a selection universally claimed to be a reach. The good news for Dallas is, he actually played really well in mini camps which means they could be onto something.

Wright has also heard the criticism and is not backing down, showing that he has the confidence needed to succeed. In this first bold prediction, look for him to turn heads and even get some time with the first team during camp. He might not win the job, but he could be in the mix.
