The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl and the party is still going for Tom Brady and Co. as they received their championship rings on Thursday.

Just when it looked like Super Bowl celebrations were about to end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, here came the long-awaited championship rings.

If you haven’t heard by now, Tampa Bay won Super Bowl LV over the Kansas City Chiefs, and as a result, they get to wear rings. And during a ceremony on Thursday night, the organization finally unveiled the jewelry, and not only are the details impeccable, but they send a literal chill down the spine.

That’s 319 diamonds, a fitting number to the final score of the game, and the internal graving of the historic accomplishment combined with the top being able to be removed and display not only the stadium, but the scores of the playoff games won, makes this ring unique and ultimately one of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry in the NFL.

As you can imagine, the players were ecstatic to receive their rings, including quarterback Tom Brady — who now has seven championship rings — Rob Gronkowski and running back Leonard Fournette, who came into his own in the postseason and capped it off with not only a Super Bowl title, but the clinching touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made history in the 2020 season and they deserve their jewelry.

At some point in time, the Buccaneers will need to move on to the new season and the banner from Super Bowl LV will be dropped on opening night against Dallas, thus ending the glory of the previous year. But can you blame them for celebrating this victory to this extent?

This franchise had experienced year after year of disappointment and, until this past season, only had one championship to show for its entire history in 2002.

Since that magical run, the Buccaneers have only won two division titles and zero playoff games. Moreover, they were constantly in the cellar of the NFC South, while everyone else looked forward to them on their schedule, essentially believing that it would be a victory.

Still, while beautiful in their own right, those rings from the 2002 championship season can’t even compare to what these players are receiving today. Jon Gruden, Derrick Brooks, and Warren Sapp are undoubtedly grateful for their rings and what they did to bring a championship to Tampa Bay, but their rings look like ancient artifacts.

This ring is beautiful, and it’s well deserved, given this season’s struggles and how it all culminated with success. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers not only have a Lombardi Trophy to show for their hard work and glory, but they also have a shiny piece of bling that they can wear forever and remind them of the journey that was taken to reach that point.

At one point, they were 7-5, and essentially being written off, only to pull off four straight victories and reach the playoffs as a No. 5 seed.

From then on, a new mentality and vision were born, as Tampa went to Washington and scored 31 points in a win. They went to New Orleans and hung 30 on a Saints team that has essentially had their number for so long. They went to Lambeau Field and hung 31 on Aaron Rodgers and sent the Packers home for the offseason.

Finally, another 31 points in the Super Bowl against the reigning NFL Champion Chiefs and a hotshot quarterback in Patrick Mahomes. That’s a list that demands a one-of-a-kind ring.
