1. Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams

The absolute biggest move of the offseason was when the Los Angeles Rams sent multiple first-round picks as well as quarterback Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matthew Stafford. While both quarterbacks were former first overall selections, they have each been seen in a different light.

One is considered a major underachiever who has been aided by head coach Sean McVay. The other has been seen as one of the better quarterbacks in the game who simply has not gotten the help he needs to succeed.

The problem there is, while Goff has been given no credit at all for the good stuff he has done, Stafford has never been held accountable for the continual struggles and absence of playoff wins in his career. No other quarterback has ever been given such a pass.

Just look at how Tony Romo was destroyed for his lack of playoff wins during his career. Or how Lamar Jackson, who even has a league MVP award on his resumé is picked on for having just one win in the postseason.

But Stafford, who is 74-90-1 in the regular season and 0-3 in the playoffs simply gets a pass. Sure, there may be some truth to the fact that he hasn’t had help, this still feels odd to just ignore the issues he has had.

On top of that, the Rams forfeited a lot of their future for a quarterback who is 33-years old and already started having back issues. Plus, their lack of first-round picks will really come into play as they lose players such as John Johnson and Troy Hill and have to continue to hit on mid-round picks to replace their production.
