9. Nelson Agholor, WR, New England Patriots

After finishing with a losing record for the first time since the year 2000, the New England Patriots decided to go all-in this offseason. They added several big-name free agents on either side of the ball.

On defense, they picked up Matt Judon and Davon Godchaux as they look to shore up the front seven. On offense, they added Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry to give them a two tight end set once again. But they didn’t stop there as they also signed Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne.

Agholor comes over after a breakout season with the Las Vegas Raiders. The former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles was considered a bust in the City of Brotherly Love but then had 896 yards and eight touchdowns for the Raiders while averaging 18.7 yards per reception.

While he did well, there’s no guarantee the move will work for New England. Agholor had five years of up and down play before that big season and he’s actually had some rather impressive campaigns. The problem is, he doesn’t seem to live up to expectations the following season.

He now enters 2021 as the potential No. 1 receiver and that’s not an ideal role for him at all.
