6. Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Back in 2016, the Philadelphia Eagles moved up in the NFL Draft in order to secure the rights to quarterback Carson Wentz from North Dakota State. He was 7-9 as a rookie but then in year two, Wentz took a huge step forward and was 11-2 as the starter and had his name in the mix for the coveted NFL MVP award.

Then disaster struck for him as he tore his ACL. The team still won it all without him which seemed to plant enough doubt about his ability into the organization that they elected to draft Jalen Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, not even a full calendar year after extending Wentz.

After going 3-8-1, Hurts took over, and while he was 1-3 the team seemed much more alive with him under center. Now, Wentz is in Indianapolis, and Hurts is slated to be the starter. The problem is, he has a long way to go in order to be ready to lead an NFL team to a winning record.

Hurts might be exciting with his legs but he completed just 52 percent of his passes and while they did add DeVonta Smith in the draft, that’s not going to be good enough to get it done unless Hurts makes a huge leap in terms of accuracy.
