The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers kick off the 2021 NFL Season in the Hall of Fame Game and these 3 Cowboys need to show out
NFL football is finally back. The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers will meet on Thursday night in Canton, Ohio to play one another in the annual Hall of Fame Game.
Of course, we know not to get too excited about this game since it is the most preseaony of all preseason games. Teams often rest their biggest stars, allowing youngsters to have a shot to shine.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be a lot to watch. Here, we look ahead to the game and select three members of the Cowboys roster that need to show out in the exhibition game.
3. Maurice Canady, Cornerback
After sitting out the 2020 season due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, Maurice Canady is finally on the practice field for the Dallas Cowboys. And in the early portions of their training camp, he’s been one of the players who have stood out.
Canady has played on the outside as well as in the slot and has been holding his own. This is positive for the Cowboys since their secondary was a huge mess in 2020 and they need several players to step up and help them improve their pass defense.
While the positive reviews are great to hear, the game against Pittsburgh will be huge for Canady since it will be the first time Dallas gets to see him on the field against another team. If he plays well, he could not only secure a spot on the team but also make sure there’s a plan for him to see the field a lot during the regular season.
