One bold prediction for the Indianapolis Colts in 2021-22: Win without Carson Wentz, lose with him
Everything and we mean everything, is contingent upon newly signed quarterback Carson Wentz. Yet, with his newest injury, he’s set to miss a chunk of the season.
Sam Ehlinger, rookie sixth-rounder out of Texas, is the likely candidate to start the season. During his time in Philadelphia, Wentz had a tendency to lose games while the Eagles flourished without him.
We see the same thing happening here. The Colts will do much better under Ehlinger and by the time Wentz makes his return, he’ll struggle with his rhythm and the Colts will regret signing him in the first place. Expect to see him gone after just one season with his new team and at that point, he might just be out of the league entirely.
