11. Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

Could the Atlanta Falcons go after a quarterback with the No. 10 pick in this mock draft? Absolutely.

Should they go after one when the real draft comes around? Probably.

Having said that, we don’t do that in this mock simply because the ones who are worthy of going in the opening rounds are already off the board. They could look to move up via trade but with this mock not having trade predictions, the Falcons end up sticking with Matt Ryan for another year.

As for their pick at No. 11, they wind up taking Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton who helps replace the two safeties they lost this offseason ‚— both Keanu Neal and Damontae Kazee signed with the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason.

Hamilton is well-built at 6-foot-4 and 219-pounds and has been all over the field for the Irish. He has 104 tackles, 12 pass defenses, and five picks in two seasons and enters 2021 as the best prospect at the position.

He’s great in both pass protection and run support, essentially becoming a player who can be moved all around the field. Considering how bad the Atlanta defense was in 2020, landing a player who can do as many things as Hamilton can would be a huge plus for them.
