3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

Three in a row when it comes to new coaches and it feels like it needs to be said at this point that this was not planned. As for the Jacksonville Jaguars, they find themselves in a different spot than the previous two teams with new coaches since they don’t need a new quarterback since they used the No. 1 overall pick in this past draft on Trevor Lawrence from Clemson.

All signs point to Lawrence being a legit player in the NFL and the only real question right now is whether or not Urban Meyer is the right coach. He comes in with an impressive resume at the collegiate level but making the jump to the NFL isn’t easy.

The front office will likely be patient with him though since this roster leaves a lot to be desired. Jacksonville has needs all over either side of the ball but with this pick, they take Kayvon Thibodeaux from Oregon.

Standing 6-foot-5 and 250-pounds, Thibodeaux is built for playing on the edge and he exploded in 2019 with nine tackles for the Ducks. In just seven games this past season, he saw that number drop to three but he still looks to be one of the better defensive linemen in the nation and is already a stud when it comes to defending the run.

Should he get his pass-rushing technique down, he’s going to be a star for many years to come — and the Jaguars need that on defense in the worst way.
