Texans vs. Packers live stream, NFL Preseason: Start time, TV channel, how to watch
The Green Bay Packers face the Houston Texans on Saturday in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL preseason as Jordan Love gives us our first look at the QB.
Due to quarterback situations, few teams have been in the offseason headlines more than the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans, though for vastly different reasons. But these franchises still have games to play this season, and that journey begins on Saturday night at Lambeau Field as these clubs square off in the 2021 NFL preseason.
The Packers spent much of the season trying to figure out how to get Aaron Rodgers in the building and, right before camp, came to a resolution. He, however, won’t be playing on Saturday. And then there’s the Texans. After Deshaun Watson requested a trade, he was accused in nearly two-dozen lawsuits that could eventually result in criminal charges and, less importantly, a suspension from the league.

Fans can watch this NFL Preseason matchup on local channels as they are within the market for these two clubs, which will have broadcast rights on cable. For out-of-market fans, however, the game can be live streamed with a paid subscription to NFL Game Pass. NFL Preseason: Texans vs. Packers preview
Rodgers not playing for the Packers in the preseason may be more exciting than if he did. That’s because we get a look at Jordan Love. The controversial 2020 first-round pick will see the field for the first time as there was no preseason a year ago. As such, fans in Green Bay and around the country will be heavily tuned into what he does.
But there’s also intrigue on the defense. Fans will be looking for 2021 first-round pick Eric Stokes to show positive things at cornerback in addition to the linebacker group continuing to emerge with more reps. Those two things could be critical to a deep playoff run.
It’s hard to truly say what to watch from the Texans but this game should be a measure for what the expectations are this season. As of now, it’s safe to say they aren’t high.

We may get a look at Tyrod Taylor at quarterback and there should be tepid excitement for rookie wideout Nico Collins. But all told, Houston is a depressing situation right now and one that it’s hard to find too many optimistic outlooks for coming into the preseason and the 2021 campaign as a whole.
