NFL Power Rankings, Preseason Week 1: Rookie QBs steal the show

It was the battle for New York as the New York Giants “hosted” the Jets in the stadium that the two share. The Giants entered this game with several questions about their offense and they answered none of them.
That’s only due to the fact that they didn’t play any of their starters, which feels like it may have been a mistake. It’s one thing when a team is coming off a good season or when the team has a lot of experience working together and doesn’t need the reps. Neither of those apply to the Giants.
New York is coming off a 6-10 campaign and while they complained about the Eagles throwing the final game against Washington as being the reason they didn’t win an atrocious division, they should have never been in the mix with 10 losses. As for their rapport, there’s next to none.
Daniel Jones, a quarterback who still hasn’t proven to be the answer, has never played a regular-season snap with several of his offensive players including wide receivers Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Kyle Rudolph.
There are still two more preseason games to go but the fact that they missed their division title by one win means they can’t afford to waste any time when the season starts. Not using the preseason to get ready could prove to be costly for them.
