1. Washington Football Team: Chase Young, Montez Sweat

There’s not a team in the NFL that can get after the quarterback quite like the Washington Football Team can. They boast one of the best young talents in the game in Chase Young, the No. 2 overall pick in 2020. He had 44 tackles and 7.5 sacks which doesn’t do his play justice.

As a rookie, he made the Pro Bowl and was also named the 2020 NFL Defensive Player of the Year while also earning a nod to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Defensive end is one of the toughest positions to master during the transition from the NCAA to the NFL level and Young not only did well, but he looked like someone who could already impose his will.

With a full season under his belt, he’s poised for a monster season in 2021. And what makes things worse for opposing teams is the fact that he has another stud across from him.

Montez Sweat was also a first-round pick, taken at No. 26 in 2019. As a rookie, he had 50 tackles and seven sacks and then put up 45 tackles and nine sacks in his second season. He spent two seasons working alongside Ryan Kerrigan and now, he enters year three as the veteran pass-rusher with Young on his way to being a star.

They’re both young and ready to carry their team. And they’re capable of doing just that.
