20. Miami Dolphins: Emmanuel Ogbah, Jaelan Phillips

This is a starting duo that comes in kind of low but has some real potential. Emmanuel Ogbah, who was technically a second-round pick even though he was the 32nd selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. He began his career in Cleveland before being traded to Kansas City in 2019 where he won a title. He then joined the Miami Dolphins in 2020 and had his best season as a pro.

Ogbah finished with 42 tackles and nine sacks as he enters the second season of his two-year deal with the Dolphins. He also has a rookie to mentor after Miami spent the No. 18 pick on Jaelan Phillips who played collegiately at UCLA before finishing his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes. Phillips does have some injury concerns but if he can stay healthy, he has a chance to be really special.

19. Carolina Panthers: Brian Burns, Yetur Gross-Matos

One of the younger duos on this list, the Carolina Panthers boast two players who were taken in the first couple of rounds in 2019 and 2020. First was Brian Burns, their first-round pick in 2019 out of Florida State. Burns blew scouts away with his 4.53 time in the 40-yard dash and since joining the league, he has shown that explosion on the field.

As a rookie, Burns had 7.5 sacks and he added 9.0 in year two. He’s also registered four forced fumbles, swatted four passes, and has a fumble return for a touchdown.

Across from him is Yetur Gross-Matos who was a second-round pick from Penn State in 2020. Gross-Matos had first-round talent according to some draft pundits and worked his way into 12 games with seven starts as a rookie. He had a modest 2.5 sacks but if he reaches his potential this coming year, the Panthers’ edge rush could be much more dangerous.
