Patriots vs. Eagles live stream, Preseason Week 2: TV info, start time, how to watch
The New England Patriots face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 of the 2021 NFL Preseason on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field.
In the lone Super Bowl victory in Philadelphia Eagles, it shouldn’t be shocking that the team they beat representing the AFC was the New England Patriots. Of course, things have changed dramatically for both franchises over the last three-plus years, which makes their meeting to open up Week 2 of the 2021 NFL Preseason full of intrigue.
Both the Eagles and Patriots face uncertainty entering this year at quarterback, though for different reasons. Moreover, both teams have had to try and recapture something with their skill positions on offense as they’ve been lacking while also trying to not take too many steps back on defense.
All told, these two teams are in shockingly similar positions with their long-term outlooks, so this preseason matchup should be one that fans are eager to watch on Thursday. And we have everything you need to make that happen.

Patriots vs. Eagles preview
All eyes will be on the quarterbacks in Thursday night’s matchup. The Patriots will get their second look at Mac Jones, likely after Cam Newton gets some snaps. The rookie first-round pick wasn’t spectacular but was impressive in his preseason debut a week ago. New England will be looking for more of that.
As for the Eagles, they’ll get another look at Jalen Hurts, their second-year quarterback who they hope is a franchise player. He showed all you could ask for in the first preseason outing, so it’ll be more about showing more of that and displaying the organization that he can do it on a week-to-week basis.
One of the big things for Philadelphia, though, is that we might get our first look at rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith, which everyone should be excited for. On top of that, there are a number of depth players who need to prove themselves, including 2020 first-round pick Jalen Reagor.
Meanwhile, the Patriots will be looking for more flashes from the likes of Damien Harris, Joejuan Williams and other key pieces on both sides of the ball. Furthermore, the N’Keal Harry saga will continue as he tries to prove he’s not a massive first-round bust.
