Fantasy Football Team Names Based on Breakout Candidates

45. Green Eggs and Hamler (K.J. Hamler)

Some people were buzzing about the big-play potential of K.J. Hamler in his rookie year a season ago but it never materialized. In the first preseason game, however, he caught a long touchdown, which could signify things to come. He won’t be a top target in Denver but he has value as a DeSean Jackson boom-or-bust type of late-round flier.

44. Takes Tua to Tango (Tua Tagovailoa)

If what everyone is saying about Tua Tagovailoa in training camp is true, especially with his newfound weapons at wide receiver, him coming off the board as QB22 is going to look silly at the end of the year. This could be a monster season for the second-year quarterback given that his rookie campaign was anything but conducive to his success.

43. Portable CeeDee Player (CeeDee Lamb)

People seem to be overlooking the fact that, before Dak Prescott’s injury, CeeDee Lamb was putting up similar per-game numbers to what Justin Jefferson did in his record-breaking rookie campaign. With Dak back for Dallas and Lamb stealing the show in training camp, the 2020 first-round pick is going as WR11 and rightfully so.

42. Gaskin For a Friend (Myles Gaskin)

Unfortunately, what we’ve seen in the preseason and in training camp is depressing the Myles Gaskin stock just a bit as a potential high-value sleeper. Even so, he was impressive for the Dolphins last season and, going as RB22 right now, he could still pay that off in value pretty easily.

41. Howling At the Mooney (Darnell Mooney)

Much in the same vein as a guy like Hamler, people are excited about the big-play potential of Darnell Mooney with Chicago. A bit reason for that is that the wide receiver corps is lacking quite a bit outside of Allen Robinson but he also flashed as a rookie more than Hamler did. He could be a tremendous value as he comes off the board as WR50.
