2. Dallas Cowboys: Who stands out at receiver?

The top three wide receivers for the Cowboys are set, and they’re among the best in the NFL. Amari Cooper is one of the smoothest route-runners in the game and continually racks up more than 1,000 yards. He even did so last season while Dak Prescott was out for the majority of the year.

Cooper is coming back from surgery this offseason but even if he’s slowed down at all, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup are good enough to get the job done. Gallup had over 1,000-yards in 2019 and Lamb came close as a rookie. As good as they are, the Cowboys know they need to continue to build their depth which is why it’s important to see who steps up for the remaining spots.

Right now, the best bet to land the No. 4 and No. 5 spots are Cedrick Wilson and rookie Simi Fehoko — who has shown promise while also boasting great size for the position. Wilson is also coming off a game where he had 40 yards on just two receptions, continuing to show he’s a sound player who can turn in a big play when called upon.

However, there are others in the mix — and that could cause the Cowboys to consider carrying six receiver. Noah Brown is one name to watch, and he could be a contributor. A former seventh-round pick, Brown was relegated to blocking duty under Jason Garrett. He’s excellent in this regard but it also meant he never got a real chance to show how good he can be when it comes to winning contested passes. Malik Turner has also been showing up in the preseason, making a case for himself.

All these players have a couple of games left to convince the front office they should be on the team and it continues to be a storyline to watch.
