After joint practices with the Browns this week, the New York Giants took to the field in Cleveland for their second preseason game. They rested their starters, saying they got enough work done in practice to feel comfortable with them — and hopefully, they looked better in practice than the guys who played Sunday.

Sure, it was a close game at 17-13, but Cleveland didn’t seem to be trying too hard and they even left a lot of plays on the field ‚— and New York still couldn’t get a win. They’re going to be trying to bounce back from a 6-10 campaign and it’s hard to decide what they will be.

There are some talented players but there are some underperformers, such as Daniel Jones. They can go anywhere from 5-12 to 12-5 this season. It’s anyone’s guess and it all depends on Jones’ development and Saquon Barkley’s health.

25. team. 44. . . Previous: 26th. Atlanta Falcons

We still don’t know what to expect from the Atlanta Falcons under Arthur Smith since they haven’t really unleashed their offense. This weekend, that remained the case s=as their backups went against the Miami starters.

As expected, the Dolphins won easily by a score of 37-17 and they’re now 0-2 on the year. The record isn’t what’s important to Smith though, because he sees these exhibition games as a way to get reps for some of the younger players who they’re trying to develop.

It’s probably the right approach too since Matt Ryan and the offense know how to get the job done, but the Falcons need to make sure they have some young players waiting in the wings to become future contributors.
