28. . . Previous: 22nd. Las Vegas Raiders. 22. team

It’s rare to see a team play just one quarterback in the preseason, and it’s even rarer to see two teams do this in the same game. That’s what happened though when the Las Vegas Raiders traveled to Southern California to play the Los Angeles Rams.

L.A. played Bryce Perkins all game and the Raiders went with Nathan Peterman — who continued to make fans ask why he’s on the team. Not everything was bad from Peterman who had 172 yards passing and 35 rushing while leading them to a 17-16 win, but he again had multiple turnovers.

As long as he struggles with that, fans will struggle with accepting him. Thankfully, Las Vegas has to go far down the depth chart before really relying on him.

. . Previous: 21st. Chicago Bears. 21. team. 57

Bills fans had fun with this one. Chicago Bears fans, not so much.

Mitch Trubisky returned to the Windy City as the quarterback of the Bills and he put on a show. The Bears gave up 221 yards and a touchdown to their former quarterback, while their own signal-callers struggled.

A bit too much is being made of all this in social media because the Chicago defense really didn’t test Trubisky too much and while Andy Dalton wasn’t great, Justin Fields did still prove that he’s a playmaker as he led the team in rushing (46 yards) despite his struggles passing (9-of-19). Having said all that, the fans probably still would have preferred to see Trubisky shown up by their new signal-callers.
