2. Javon Wims, Wide Receiver

Javon Wims was already skating on thin ice entering training camp. After getting suspended for getting into a fight on the field in a regular season game against the New Orleans Saints last season, the thought was whether he’s worth the trouble to keep.

So far in the preseason, Wims has done absolutely nothing. He’s only received one target in two games (a pass he didn’t catch). What he has done was have a case of the dropsies in camp. He dropped a few passes during those practices.

On top of that, Wims had the biggest drop of last season. He had a beautifully thrown pass go his way in the end zone in the playoff game against the Saints. He was wide open but completely miffed on the catch. This was when the Bears were still in the game.

With Wims continuing to drop passes and Rodney Adams rising in the eyes of the coaches and fans, Wims could find himself on the outside looking in. He needs to have a big game for him to have a chance to change his fortunes. However, without many targets going his way, it’ll be a long, difficult road for him to make an impression.
