Fantasy Football Mock Draft 2021: Round 8

  • Team 12 (8.01): Michael Carter, RB, NYJ
  • Team 11 (8.02): Ronald Jones II, RB, TB
  • Team 10 (8.03): Robby Anderson, WR, CAR
  • Team 9 (8.04): Devin Singletary, RB, BUF
  • Team 8 (8.05): Deebo Samuel, WR, SF
  • Team 7 (8.06): Leonard Fournette, RB, TB
  • Team 6 (8.07): James Conner, RB, ARZ
  • Team 5* (8.08): Corey Davis, WR, NYJ
  • Team 4 (8.09): Noah Fant, TE, DEN
  • Team 3 (8.10): Laviska Shenault, WR, JAX
  • Team 2 (8.11): David Johnson, RB, HOU
  • Team 1 (8.12): Dallas Goedert, TE, PHI

It’s hard to believe anyone could watch Zach Wilson and the Jets offense this preseason and not think that Corey Davis could be in line for a monster year in his first season in New York. He’s clearly been the rookie quarterback’s favorite target, including going for four catches and 70 yards in the second outing.

Davis was a bit of a late bloomer with the Titans, despite being a top-10 draft pick once upon a time. But the talent is still prodigious and he could just be coming into his own. If that’s the case and Wilson continues to show a strong rapport with him, he could be a huge asset in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft 2021: Round 9

  • Team 1 (9.01): Jaylen Waddle, WR, MIA
  • Team 2 (9.02): Pittsburgh D/ST
  • Team 3 (9.03): Mecole Hardman, WR, KC
  • Team 4 (9.04): Gus Edwards, RB, BAL
  • Team 5* (9.05): Jamaal Williams, RB, DET
  • Team 6 (9.06): Tyler Boyd, WR, CIN
  • Team 7 (9.07): Matthew Stafford, QB, LAR
  • Team 8 (9.08): Ryan Tannehill, QB, TEN
  • Team 9 (9.09): D.J. Chark, WR, JAX
  • Team 10 (9.10): Robert Tonyan, TE, GB
  • Team 11 (9.11): Kenyan Drake, RB, LVR
  • Team 12 (9.12): Phillip Lindsay, RB, HOU

Another time that my plans were foiled, Gus Edwards was my guy here even before the Dobbins injury. Baltimore hasn’t gone with anything but a committee approach at running back for some time so, if we’re trying to take fliers, he would be a good one as he was never going away. He’s now likely going much huigher as he could be the top back on the Ravens with Dobbins out.

Still, I settled on Jamaal Williams for a similar reason. D’Andre Swift is clearly the Lions’ most tlaented running back but the coaching staff has made it pretty clear this offseason that they are going to use multiple backs. After all, they didn’t sign Williams for no reason. He’s shown in Green Bay he can be a solid pass-catching back, so adding him in this spot for a PPR league is worthwhile as he could pay off nicely.
