Dallas Cowboys Cornerbacks (6)

Trevon Diggs, Kelvin Joseph, Jourdan Lewis, Maurice Canady, Nahshon Wright, C.J. Goodwin

One position that has seen a lot of change lately in Dallas is their cornerback room. They lost Byron Jones and Chidobe Awuzie in back-to-back seasons, which means they enter 2021 with Trevon Diggs and Kelvin Joseph as the starters — which just so happen to be their past two second-round picks.

Diggs improved a lot during his rookie season and Joseph has a lot of talent but is raw. He’s also about to be thrown into the fire since he’s the starter in this scenario with Anthony Brown failing to make the team.

Brown is a solid corner but he’s struggled with injuries and he was overshadowed by Maurice Canady this offseason. He’s also not as good on the outside as Canady or Jourdan Lewis — who both can play the slot which was Brown’s ticket to the team.

Nahshon Wright is the fifth cornerback and he’s been better than expected. C.J. Goodwin is also on the team but, barring an injury or two, he likely won’t see the field at all as a corner. Instead, he’s a guy who makes his mark on special teams. Players like him are often overlooked by fans but coaching staffs know their worth.
