It appears as though Quenton Nelson won’t be starting the season on the active roster for the Indianapolis Colts which is a huge loss. He’s arguably the best guard in the game and not only would he help open up the running game but he could also help Carson Wentz feel more comfortable in the pocket ‚— and Wentz could use that since he’s coming back from foot surgery as well.

Health is just one question for Wentz, the other is his leadership. In Philadelphia, reports of him not being popular in the locker room clouded his tenure. He has a chance to rewrite his career, and he has the talent to really make this team good. He just has to make sure not to fall back into the bad habits he displayed with the Eagles that proved to be his downfall.

Thankfully, he does have a coach who knows how to get the most out of him in Frank Reich who was his offensive coordinator in 2017 with the Eagles. Reich can make sure Wentz stays on the right path when it comes to his play on the field and their relationship could help when it comes to Wentz learning how to be a leader and win his teammates over.
